Favorite Foto Friday and Happy Anniversary!!

For today’s favorite photo Friday it has to be a “Anniversary Edition” cause today is mine and my husbands anniversary. I was going to write some sappy Happy Anniversary Jason, you mean so much to me….blah blah…..but he already knows all that, I tell him all the time, and he doesn’t read this dang blog anyways so what would it matter…
Anyway----if you do grace me with your presence today Jason--Happy Anniversary. Thanks for the new washer!! Ha ha.
But to honor all the men in my life and one of my more recent (at least more recent that the last) favorite photos is my boys…all three of them….doing what each one of them absolutely love…
This picture makes me smile.

Also Jason was in heaven this morning as he learned a little silly fact....our anniversary is on the same day the bra was invented....100 years ago today. Him being such a "boob" guy he thought it was just so fitting!
Have a great weekend!

I did it!

I did the “unthinkable”. Or at least it was for me.
We painted a wall in the house an extreme dark color. I know, lots of you are thinking, what who cares, what’s the big deal, everyone has dark/different colored walls in there house……well it was a big deal to me. I have very little decorating sense…I admit that myself, and white or light colored walls are just fine with me.
But I do like it. It really goes well. Its only one wall…”a accent wall”….more than that would have for sure been too much for me….but one I could handle.
So all you people that haven’t been to see me in months….you know who you are….
Your invited over….to see the color of the paint called “ink drop” and the room I chose to undertake.

It was back to work for me on Monday. After having more than a week for vacation, going to work a week, and then having a complete week off for surgery I am a little behind at work. I will spend the next few weeks trying to play catch up. Oh well…what don’t get today will wait til tomorrow.
I think I am back to 100%....and so hopeful that with the cold season coming up the kids stay at 100% most of the time too. Don't need to be taking more time off work!!

Favorite Foto Friday

So I got this idea from another blog that I sometimes read....Favorite Foto Friday...posting a all time favorite "foto" on Friday. This could be quite a difficult task for me actually as I take way too many pictures and have tons and tons of favorites.....but I will do my best to narrow them down and post. This could also be a fun trip down memory lane as I know of quite a few of both boys that I still just love to look at.
This is Kamden's first bath in his "big boy duckie"....he loved it as you can tell.

And rightfully how could I have a "first" favorite be of Kamden and none of Kahne.....(I even tried to pick one that was both boys)....so I settled with adding two this time.

Kahne with his exersaucer a little too high....looking like "mom, you goon, I can't reach!"

Now I invite each of you that grace me with your time to read this.....if you have a blog, do the same.....Post your favorites on Fridays.....I know alot of you are expert picture takers and I would enjoy seeing what you got!

All recovered....

Finally had my surgery on Monday to have my gallbladder out….other than being a bit sore and still swelled up from all the air they thought necessary to put in me….I am doing rather well.
Reality did sit in a bit ago that we are at the end of the week and I only get one week off for this so its back to work come Monday and that’s getting way too close.
I had a list of things I really wanted to get done on this week of “vacation, sitting at home without the kids.”—but apparently someone failed to tell me that they were going to insert some instruments into my belly and tug around until they could clip the right duct and remove that gallbladder full of stones and you will be sore..…..so needless to say the only thing I accomplished this week was keeping the bed unmade!!

Now hopefully I am back to “normal”, no more extreme pain attacks. No surgery is ever fun, but I guess if it takes away all those painful episodes it was well worth it.

Sisters

These are my two nieces.
Allayna, the little one, seemed to idolize her older sister and did just as she was told.
Kinda cute.
Notice in the third picture Allayna is trying to "bite" Carrie's tongue.....not only does she listen to what her older sister says to do, but she also would listen to just about anyone else.
All I had to say was "Kiss her tongue!"
(also notice the poor broken arm...you can tell she is the baby of the bunch and with two older brothers I am sure that is the first of many broken bones!)

Back at Last

Week in Review….
We are back from our much needed visit.
We had a great time and the kids did absolutely amazing. The drive both there and back was great….I can’t even remember a time of true crying. They were sleeping, watching TV, or playing well with us or each other.

Of course the kids got extra special treatment while we were there, being my parents don’t see them a lot. Discipline was not a big part of our week and they were allowed to break “normalcy” just a bit. We had many moments away from the boys as well as everywhere my sister went she insisted the boys be with her. It was great! I could definitely use her living closer to me!!

We got to do lots of simple fun things, and visited with lots of people. We went to the flea market (always a favorite of mine), went to the races (at the track I worked at many years growing up), went to the town I grew up in “labor day festival”, ate at lots of restaurants I don’t get to enjoy up here, and of course took tons of pictures!

We drove each way straight through and stayed up way way past our bed time every night we were there…..so needless to say we are beyond tired and can’t wait to slowly get back to normal.

(To mom and Lorie—I know you are anxiously awaiting pictures but when you have 500+ to edit it takes some time…I will get to them, just as soon as I get a chance!)
